Biography of Drew Boulanger, a bespoke joiner based in Powys, mid-Wales.
Drew has had 15 years experience working in carpentry. He grew up in mid Wales and originally trained in graphic design. He began his training as a carpenter whilst living in Australia and continued working/training in London for a bespoke joinery company for 7 years. He returned to Wales in 2005 to set up his own joinery company, trading as DB Joinery.
He specialises in replicating and designing sympathetic period detailing, often working on Grade 2 listed buildings and projects with his partner Becky Wade, who is a designer. The workshop is based in mid Wales and is open to visits from clients should they wish to see the progress of their project. It can be nice to see the original rough-sawn timber through to the finished project.
